Who We Are

Merrypark Equestrian Centre began its journey in 1994 when Lorraine and Reg Merry turned their passion for horses into a thriving equestrian haven.


Originally established in Greenvale, Victoria, the centre relocated to Eumundi on the Sunshine Coast in 2003.


Lorraine Merry, a seasoned equestrian with over 40 years of experience, brings her expertise as an EFA NCAS Level II Dressage Coach and FEI competitor.


With facilities like a fully covered sand dressage arena, a show jumping arena, a secure round yard, and well-maintained paddocks, Merrypark offers a natural, tranquil environment for horses to thrive.



Guided by values of passion, community, and integrity, we provide horse riding, agistment, and premium care services. From spacious day yards to hot water wash bays, every detail is designed for comfort and safety.

About Lorraine Merry

EFA NCAS Level II Dressage Coach, FEI Competitor

Lorraine Merry was born in Melbourne, Victoria, and has been involved with horses for the past 40 years.


At the age of 24, Lorraine travelled overseas to Enzesfeld, Austria, to further her knowledge of horses with the British Horse Society.


Upon completing her course in Austria, she travelled to England and attained a Horse Masters Certificate with the British Horse Society. Upon returning to Australia, Lorraine taught various Pony Clubs in Victoria.


After marrying and raising four sons, Lorraine became more involved in the dressage field and began training with various instructors, namely John McNamara, Clements Dirks, Mary Hanna, Manola Mendez, and Glennis Barrie.


Lorraine and her husband, Reg Merry, owned ‘Merrypark Equestrian Centre’ in Greenvale, Victoria, for a period of 10 years from 1994 to 2003.


In early 2003, Reg and Lorraine moved to Eumundi on the Sunshine Coast to establish ‘Merrypark Equestrian Centre’ once again.

  • 20 x 60-metre fully covered sand dressage arena with lights for night riding.
  • 30 x 50-metre sand show jumping arena.
  • 20-metre sand round yard.
  • Riding trails around the perimeter of the property.
  • Large feed and tack room with lights.
  • Five fully covered and concrete tie-up bays with lights for night purposes.
  • Three wash bays – two hot water and one cold water.
  • Six day yards.
  • Free float parking.
  • All paddocks have Bayco and electric fencing.
